Boreham Wood U18 0 - 5 Leyton Orient U18
FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON Round One

HARRY BAKER inspired five-star Orient to a FA Youth Cup cruise at Boreham Wood on Monday night.

Baker (pictured) netted Orient's opener and had a hand in three other O's goals as Kevin Nugent's side blitzed their Hertfordshire opponents to book a second round tie at Wycombe Wanderers.

Having survived an early penalty claim, Orient wasted little time in stamping their authority on the contest with Baker seizing on a poor clearance from the home goalkeeper to finish from 40 yards.

With 21 minutes on the clock, Orient doubled their advantage with a beautifully worked goal.

Baker delivered an excellent cross from the right and Adam Marsh nodded the ball into strike partner Adam Bolle's path for a measured finish from 15 yards.

The home side kept it at 2-0 until the break, but Orient were well in command and they showed no sign of easing off in the second period.

Midfielder Matt Hall scored the visitors' third, receiving a pass from Baker before drilling home from the edge of the box.

Marsh was the man to make it four, sending a sweetly struck volley beyond the Boreham Wood stopper from the edge of the box on 73 minutes.

That proved to be Marsh's last involvement and the man who replaced him, Jake Argent, added the icing on the cake in stoppage time when he converted Baker's low cross from close range.
