Leyton Orient won 5-4 on penalties
Puma Youth Alliance Cup Southern Section Round Two
DANIEL BYGRAVE emerged as the hero as Orient secured their place in the third round of the Youth Alliance Cup with a dramatic penalty shoot out victory over Oxford United.
First year scholar Bygrave saved a penalty in normal time, repeated the feat in the shoot out and then found the net from 12 yards himself to cap off a memorable day's work.
Orient struggled to get going on a real pudding of a pitch but still managed to establish a lead through schoolboy Fahola Fahinty.
Oxford came back well and deservedly levelled in the second half.
Bygrave's save from the spot took the game to a shoot-out, where the O's youngster came out on top again as the visitors made sure of progress to round three.
Youth team manager Kevin Nugent said: "We didn't play particularly well, but nevertheless it is pleasing to make it through to the third round.
"We have had to deal with a lot of injuries and we had a number of under-16s out there today and they've done a good job.
