Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference
A YOUNG Orient youth side, containing a number of schoolboys and trialists, were defeated 1-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion last Saturday.
The O's put up a good fight and were well in the contest, but eventualy lost out to a solitary goal from the penalty spot.
Youth team manager Kevin Nugent said: "We had a very young side out due to injuries and the fact we had the Youth Cup game three days later.
"They rose to the challenge well and were unfortunate to lose out to a penalty.
"There were a few positives to take and it was good opportunity to see how some of the youngsters coped with youth team football.
"We should have taken something from the game and it's a good learning curve for them."
