Young O's Slump At Millwall
Millwall 4 - 1 Leyton Orient
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference
ORIENT were swept aside by an early three-goal blast by clinical Millwall two Saturdays ago.
The south Londoners smashed in three goals within the first 20 minutes to quickly put the game beyond the O's.
Jake Argent pulled one back after Millwall had extended the lead to four, and although the O's showed excellent heart to stem the tide, the Lions' forceful start had taken the game beyond them.
Youth Development Manager Ross Embleton, who took charge of the O's youngsters with Kevin Nugent on first team duty, said: "Our character was good and we did well to come back into the game after a poor start.
"That start obviously took the game out of our reach, but we didn't lose heart and we have to look to play with that kind of attitude from the start in future."
