ORIENT'S youth team saw a half-time lead go to waste as Brentford came from a goal down to beat the O's 3-2 on Saturday.

Trialist Jerson Dos Santos edged Wayne Burnett's side in front, but they were made to pay for a slack ten-minute spell after the interval when Brentford netted three times.

Burnett said: "It was disappointing because after a good first half, we were never in the game after half time.

"We had three schoolboys and a trialist in the team, so we were a little disrupted from the week before, but I expect better from us.

"We switched off for a ten minute spell and never recovered."

Orient played well in the first half, overcoming a difficult pitch to produce some attractive football.

Dos Santos capitalised to give the hosts the lead from inside the six-yard box and everything seemed to be going swimmingly.

But three goals in ten minutes from the Bees turned the game on its head and killed off Orient's challenge.

Louis Crowther pulled one back late on, but Brentford's second half blast took them to victory.

Orient: Jack Giddens; Alan Mabuyaku, Josh Millwood, Dwayne Campbell, Brandon Martin; Harry Beautyman (Joe Boakye), Daryl Sydes, Matthew Hall (Ike Robinson), Michael Richardson; Jerson Dos Santos, Adam Marsh (Louis Crowther)
