Argent Penalty Gives Youth Team Win

Posted on: Tue 07 Apr 2009

Leyton Orient 1 - 0 Northampton Town
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference

JAKE ARGENT'S second half penalty was enough to give Orient's youngsters a hard fought 1-0 victory over Northampton Town on Saturday.

Orient produced a good team performance to edge a tight contest against the Cobblers and extend their unbeaten run to three games.

Wayne Burnett fielded a number of schoolboys in an experimental side, but Northampton couldn't find a way through their stubborn defences.

The game was finely balanced until the O's were awarded a spot kick midway through the second period and Argent made no mistake from 12 yards to secure all three points.
