Milton Keynes Dons U18 1 - 3 Leyton Orient U18
FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON Round Three
ORIENT secured their place in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup with another come-from-behind victory.
The O's recovered from the blow of conceding early goals to see off Bromley and Swindon Town in the previous rounds - and they had to to the same at stadiummk.
Milton Keynes' Hayden Carter fired the hosts into a fifth minute lead, but Jake Argent's equaliser in injury time at the end of the first half set the O's up for a fine second period.
Argent's second of the game - a super strike that found the net via a post - gave Orient the lead, and Louis Crowther's close range effort sealed victory 17 minutes from time.
The pace of the Dons' frontline was evident early on and they made use of it on five minutes when an O's attack broke down and they countered at speed, with Carter outrunning Ryan Nelson to fire past Jack Giddens.
Giddens then had to make a low save from Charlie Collins as the home side looked to build on their good start and Orient took a while to get a grip on the game.
Cestor Mike nodded wide after Crowther headed a Musa Manneh cross back into the middle on 27, but at this stage the Dons were enjoying the better of a scrappy contest.
Two home players had to leave the field on a stretcher during the first half, resulting in seven minutes of stoppage time - and in the fourth of those Orient were level.
Crowther's quickly-taken free kick caught the home defence out, allowing Argent in to loft over Dons keeper Ashley Harrison and into the net.
Having equalised, Orient then took control of the contest and moved into the lead on 57 minutes when Argent collected a pass from Joe Boakye, rolled his man and shot home via the far post from 20 yards.
Harry Beautyman then had a free kick saved by Harrison, but Orient didn't have to wait long to make sure of their progress, notching a third with 73 minutes on the clock.
Manneh's persistance saw him break clear down the left and deliver a low cross that Harrison could only touch out to Crowther, who gobbled up the loose ball to find the net.
The third goal meant Orient could enjoy the final part of the game comfortable in their lead and they can now look forward to a place in the competition's final 32.
