Leyton Orient U18 1 - 0 Gillingham U18
Football League Youth Alliance South East Conference
HARRY BEAUTYMAN'S first half goal gave Orient's youth team their fourth straight win when they defeated Gillingham 1-0 on Saturday.
Youth team skipper Beautyman struck with 31 minutes on the clock to settle the contest and maintain the O's good form.
O's youth team manager Andy Edwards said: "It's good to keep the winning sequence going and it was a fair result on the day.
"We have a fully fit squad now and our recent results show that when everyone is available, we're capable of beating anyone in this division.
"The competition for places is beneficial and we're improving individually and collectively."
Beautyman was denied twice in one-on-one situations with the Gills goalkeeper and Jake Argent also went close as the O's started strongly, but Gillingham wasted a chance to open the scoring when they failed to take advantage of a lapse in the home defence.
Orient made the most of that let-off just after the half hour when Beautyman pounced on a moment's indecision in the visitors' backline to finish following Dan Bygrave's long goal kick.
With a lead to defend, Orient set about their task after half time and protected goalkeeper Dan Bygrave well on their way to another win.
