Midfielder Freddy Moncur was handed a one-year deal with the O’s during the summer of 2015 following a successful period as a scholar.

Moncur, who had previously been on the books at West Ham, enjoyed a brilliant campaign for the youth team during the 2014-15 season as he amassed an impressive 10 goals as well as contributing with a number of assists.

The midfielder’s first-team debut came in September 2015 as a half-time substitute in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat at Luton Town, before making his second appearance in the 6-1 FA Cup victory against Staines Town two months later.

Having featured in the matchday squad on a number of occasions throughout the course of the 2015-16 season, Moncur was rewarded with a new one-year contract in June 2016.
