Striker Jordan Bowery penned a three-year deal with the club in July 2016 after leaving Oxford United.

Bowery started his career at Chesterfield where he went on to make over 100 appearances before earning a move to Aston Villa in 2012, though chances were limited for the forward leading to a move to Rotherham United two years later.

Having arrived at the New York Stadium for a club record transfer fee, Bowery made 36 appearances over the course of the 2014-15 season before going out on loan to Bradford the following campaign and then leaving by mutual consent in January 2016.

Following his departure, Oxford United acted quickly to sign the striker on a deal until the end of the season and it proved to be a success as Bowery registered seven goals in 20 appearances to help the U’s secure promotion from League Two.
