Midfielder Michael Collins penned a short-term deal with the O's on October 28 2016, signing a deal until January 2017.

Collins then made his debut a day later as a substitute in the O's home defeat to Crewe Alexandra.

Born in Halifax, the Republic of Ireland youth international started his career at Huddersfield Town where he spent the best part of 14 years before moving to Scunthorpe United in 2010.

During his four years with the Iron, Collins enjoyed a loan spell at AFC Wimbledon before making a permanent switch to Oxford United in 2014.

The midfielder was to spend 18-months with the U's, heading on loan to York City for a short spell and then departing the club in January 2016 to join Indian I-League side Bengaluru of whom he helped secure the league title at the end of the 2016 campaign.
