Experienced defender Nicky Hunt joined Orient from fellow League Two side Mansfield Town on a permanent deal in January 2015 until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee.

Hunt came through the youth system and Bolton Wanderers alongside player-manager Kevin Nolan and went on to make over 150 appearances for the Trotters, including a large number in the Premiership.

The 32-year-old had loan spells with Birmingham City, Derby County while with Bolton before permanent deals followed with Bristol City, Preston North End, Rotherham and Accrington Stanley, before joining the Stags at the start of the season.

Following the conclusion of the 2015-16 campaign, Hunt activated an appearance clause in his contract which saw his stay in E10 extended by a further year, and was subsequently named Club Captain by manager Andy Hessenthaler in July 2016.
