STOKE CITY youngster Ryan Brunt has joined the O’s on a long-term loan deal.
The 19-year-old forward will remain with the east Londoners until January 5 and provides competition for Kevin Lisbie, David Mooney and Michael Symes in the attacking unit.
He played 15 games in League 1 for Tranmere Rovers whilst on loan with the Wirral club last season and has further experience from similar spells with non-league duo Nantwich Town and Luton Town.
O’s manager Russell Slade said: “Ryan is developing into a strong player and will be an asset for us over his loan spell here.
“He thrives on crosses, has a willingness to run and possesses a terrific work rate.
“I feel that Ryan will complement the other strikers we have here well and we’re delighted to have him at the football club.”
Born in Birmingham, Brunt came through the Academy at Stoke and turned pro in 2011.
After recovering from a serious knee injury sustained in the 2010/11 campaign he experienced his first taste of senior football with those loans last term and will now look to take another step forward with the O’s.
: “It’s a great opportunity for me to start the season with a loan club, especially in League 1, and hopefully I can do well.Orient PlayerBrunt told
