FOOTBALL is back!
Orient get their pre-season programme underway on Wednesday evening with a trip to south London to take on Sutton United (kick-off 7.45pm).
The U’s are currently in Blue Square Bet South having missed out on promotion by losing in the play-off semi-finals to Welling United last term.
Their quota of ex-O’s was increased to three last week when Tom Lovelock joined Harry Beautyman and Simon Downer in Paul Doswell’s squad.
Orient will have a number of new faces on show themselves with Russell Slade having made six signings so far this summer.
Gary Sawyer, Anthony Griffith, Mathieu Baudry, Michael Symes, Ryan Allsop and Ryan Brunt have all made their way to E10 and could make their first appearances in O’s colours on Wednesday.

The last meeting
Orient last travelled to Sutton for a pre-season match ahead of the 2005/06 season when the teams met in a benefit match for Andy Scott, who played for both and had recently been forced to retire from playing with a heart condition.
The O’s came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Shane Tudor and Gary Alexander – and it turned out to be a successful season for the east Londoners as they won promotion from League 2.
Admission to Wednesday night’s match is priced at £10 adults, £5 senior citizens and £2 under-16s.
How to get there
Sutton’s Borough Sports Ground is situated on Gander Green Lane. A map showing its location can be found here.
