THERE have been a number of changes in the Club’s medical team at the start of the new season as the O’s welcome a new Head Physiotherapist, Assistant Physiotherapist and Club Doctor.
Nick Dawes joins as Head Physiotherapist, having worked at Bristol City for six years and at Torquay United prior to that. Nick arrives as previous Physio Dave Appanah leaves Brisbane Road for the job of Academy Physio at Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, Joe Sharp has taken over as Assistant Physiotherapist after George Lopez left the post to pursue other career opportunities.
And Dr Tamim Khanbhai is the new Club Doctor with previous Doctor, Dr Chris Hughes, leaving for the role of Academy Doctor at Chelsea. Dr Khanbhai previously worked with Barnet.
O’s boss Russell Slade said: “I would like to welcome aboard Nick, Joe and Tamim and, as you can see, we have a whole new medical department here and we wish them every success. They have already made a big impression on the staff and players.”
The Club would like to welcome all three new members of the medical team, while thanking Dave, George and Chris for their efforts in their time with the O’s and wish them well in their future careers.
