ORIENT are preparing for their first Saturday home game of the season and manager Russell Slade wants to see his team’s good form continue.

The O’s are unbeaten in four and have won their last two home matches and Doncaster Rovers, who exited the Capital One Cup to Norwich City on Wednesday, are next on the agenda.

“It’s nearly October and we’re having our first Saturday home game,” said Slade. “That’s a rarity, but let’s it’s hope it is as successful as the last couple of evening games.

“We need to make this place a difficult one to come to, which it was a couple of seasons ago. We’ve won three out of our last four home games, so if we can keep that going that would be grand.

“Doncaster are a tough side. Dean Saunders has some experienced players and he will be a canny manager.

“He is astute and intelligent enough to put out a side to win a football match. He can do that because he has the squad. They have knowhow in the side and they can change the way they play.

“They want to play out from the back and get on the ball, but they can be more direct if necessary.

“It’ll test us to the limit on Saturday and it will show us how far we’ve come in the last few weeks.

“I was pleased to come from behind to get a point last week, especially away from home. It was important to get something out of the game because it keeps the momentum going for us.”
