ORIENT have teamed up with the Sunday People for the national newspaper to become the sponsor of the club’s FA Cup kit for the 2012/13 season.
The O’s have already been working with the Sunday People this term in the paper’s role as official media partner to the Samsung Win A Pro Contract competition, which will see one amateur player sign a professional contract with the club in January 2013.
Now their logo will take centre stage on the white shirts the Londoners are set to use in the world’s oldest knockout cup competition.
Russell Slade’s men will wear the new Nike kits for the first time in Sunday’s Round One tie at Gloucester City, with midfielder Anthony Griffith modelling the strip here in the run-up to the game.
James Brown, Sports Editor at the Sunday People, said: “We’re delighted to be the official shirt sponsor of Leyton Orient’s FA Cup kit this season.
“Everyone at the Sunday People would like to wish Russell Slade and the team the best of luck for Sunday’s first round tie against Gloucester City – and the rest of the season.”
The Sunday People will also be sponsoring Swindon Town in the FA Cup this season, just as they did last year when the Robins, who were in League 2 at the time, defeated Premier League outfit Wigan Athletic.
The club Superstore will be taking delivery of the new third FA Cup kit shortly. Keep checking leytonorient.com for details on when we’ll have it in stock.
