SLADE: 'We're Eager To Play'

RUSSELL SLADE is hoping the wet weather relents in time to allow Saturday’s game against Walsall to go ahead.
The O’s have lost their last two fixtures to the rain and the manager doesn’t want to make it a hat trick at Brisbane Road on Saturday.
He told “It’s been a very frustrating week because we’ve not been able to play.
“We’re eager to get out on the pitch and the other frustration is finding the right facility to train on.
“We’ve had to mix and match and find different areas whether they’re indoors or outdoors and do the best we can because the weather’s been a constant menace to be honest.”
Orient are looking to complete a League double over the Saddlers, having triumphed 2-0 at the Banks’s Stadium earlier this season, but after Dean Smith’s men defeated Colchester and MK Dons in their last two matches he is expecting a tough game.
He continued: “It was a good result for us [at Walsall] and we needed the result at the time. It was a good away performance, we went 4-1-4-1 and did a job on them on the night.
“Having said that, Walsall are in good form and have had two positive results in a row. You have to respect anybody who scores four goals at MK Dons.”
One plus point of the postponements has been that Orient’s walking wounded have been able to get closer to fitness.
Slade added: “We’ve got one or two injury concerns, but it has given the likes of Kevin Lisbie and Gary Sawyer every chance of being available for the weekend.
“Michael Symes has trained too so to get them back is good because the games are going to catch up with us and we need everyone available.”
