SLADE: 'We Need To Be More Clinical'

ORIENT manager Russell Slade believes his side need to be more clinical in front of goal following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Crawley.
An early goal from Billy Clarke was enough to seal it for the visitors who despite hitting the bar through Mike Jones also in the first period, had precious little chances after that as Orient dominated possession in the second period but failed to beat Paul Jones in the Crawley goal.
Slade said: “We’re disappointed, we started well and then their goal pegged us back a little bit. We struggled to recover from that but when we did we started moving the ball better and created one or two chances but didn’t finish them off.
“We had lots of possession and a few chances and you just need to take one of them and that’s what it’s about, taking those little opportunities and then you get a goal and that gives everybody a lift; the fans, the team, everybody.
“It’s the most forgettable week since I’ve been here really, it’s very disappointing.”
