ORIENT manager Russell Slade was delighted with his side’s 3-1 victory over promotion hopefuls Bournemouth on Saturday.
It was one of Orient’s most complete performances of the season as two goals from Charlie MacDonald and one from the returning Kevin Lisbie were enough to sink a strong Bournemouth side, and Slade is now optimistic about the run-in.
He said: “It was a fantastic day’s work for us and that’s come off the back of a really good performance at Sheffield United and we backed that up at home which is exactly what we wanted to do after the defeat to Crawley.
“Too often this season we’ve been reasonably good between the two boxes and not been ruthless enough in the final third but today we were. We scored at the right times when we had momentum.
“Charlie MacDonald worked tirelessly as they all did today everybody worked so very hard for the cause and for Kevin to get minutes under his belt and get a goal capped it well for us.
“We are looking forward to the last 11 games of the season, we are playing some good football and we just need to keep that going.”
