You may have seen the Orient side warming up in bright red t-shirts on Saturday in aid of Comic Relief.
The club teamed up with the local Sainsbury’s in Stratford to organise bucket collections at the ground whilst also Sainsbury’s will be auctioning the signed shirts worn by the players before the game.
It is not the first time that the club and store have joined forces following the hugely successful Christmas lunch for the homeless which you can read about here
Simon Johns, Manager of Sainsbury’s, Romford Road, Stratford, said afterwards: “We are building a great relationship with Leyton Orient and want to thank the club for helping with our collection today. To have the players’ support is brilliant.”
