The funeral of former Orient midfielder Tony Grealish will take place tomorrow in Kilburn and Kevin Nugent will be attending from the Club.
Nugent is photographed above with Grealish in the 70’s as the bearded midfielder presented Nuge with an award as a youngster, something which Nugent remembers fondly.
“I think the photo was taken in about 1977 in Tottenham so I must have been about eight years old. I was playing for St John Vianney at the time and back then the London-Irish community was very tight-knit and Grealish would often support events like that which was good of him. I know he is remembered fondly by everyone at the Club and it’s sad that he left us so young,” said Nugent.
Grealish passed away on April 23 after losing his battle with cancer aged 56.
