John Day is a 56-year-old O’s fan who lives in Walthamstow and has been coming to watch the O’s since the mid-1960s.
“I used to live around the corner from the ground in the old tower blocks as a kid my Dad started taking me over Orient ever since,” he said.
John is a season ticket holder in the Family Stand with his youngest daughter but has taken full advantage of the new season ticket referral incentive to introduce four friends and family members to a season ticket at the O’s, saving himself nearly £100 and his friends and family 10 per cent each on their own tickets.
“It’s a great scheme and has worked really well for me. My friend and his daughter came on a couple of occasions last year and they enjoyed it so I’ve introduced them to a season ticket, then I have an old school friend who is a regular visitor but persuaded him to upgrade to a season ticket with the saving too.
“With the money I saved I then decided to get my eldest daughter a season ticket also so referred her as well!” said John.
John also believes that the extra supporters can expect to see some success at the Matchroom next season too.
“We’re all really looking forward to next season. We had a good season and have given ourselves a great platform to build on for next season.”
