On Wednesday morning the 2013-14 fixtures were released by the Football League and the O’s will open up the campaign on Saturday 3rd August with an away fixture in Cumbria against Carlisle United.
The first home league fixture will follow a week later on Saturday 10th August when Shrewsbury will be the visitors while Slade’s men will make the short journey to Stevenage the following week on Saturday 17th August. There are also further local away fixtures in the form of Colchester (August 31st) and Brentford (September 21st) in the early part of the season.
The traditional busy festive period over Christmas will see a home game against Crawley Town kick things off on Saturday 21st December, before away trips on Boxing Day and 29th December against newly promoted Gillingham and recently relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively before Bristol City, another former Championship Club come to the Matchroom Stadium on New Year’s Day. This busy period concludes with an away trip to Shrewsbury on Saturday 4 January.
The Easter period sees an away game with Crawley Town, closely followed by an Easter Monday clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers while this is followed by another home game on Saturday 26th April against Tranmere before the season comes to a close away at MK Dons on Saturday 3rd May.
All fixtures are subject to change if there is an agreement between both clubs or for TV purposes.
