ORIENT striker David Mooney has said that signing a new two-year contract with the O’s was an easy decision to make and is hoping to recapture the form he showed at times last season.
Mooney joined the O’s from Reading in 2011 and bagged 13 goals in all competitions last season.
“I’m delighted to get it signed and all done. It wasn’t a difficult decision to make for me at all and the contract was agreed a while ago but as I was on holiday for a lot of the summer it took a while to actually get it signed,” said Mooney.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here and I’ve got a young family to think about too and I didn’t want to uproot them. The fans at Orient too have been great to me especially last season and there’s no better feeling than when they are behind you.
“I just want to play games and maintain the form I showed at times last year. We’ve got a strong group that I think can do something and with Kev (Lisbie) and Batts (Shaun Batt) we’ve got some quality strikers too.”
