Orient midfielder Johnny Gorman has been called up to the Northern Ireland U21 squad for Wednesday’s friendly against Denmark at Stangmore Park.
Gorman already has nine full caps for his country and has represented the U21 squad previously. He made his full international debut in 2010 when he was just 17 against Turkey and also played competitive games in the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.
Orient manager Russell Slade is hopeful that the call up will give Gorman some playing minutes under his belt.
“It’ll be a good experience for him and hopefully now he’s been called up, he will be given some much deserved time on the pitch,” said Slade.
