LEYTON ORIENT manager Russell Slade was pleased with a ruthless second half performance as his O’s side maintained their position at the top of League One in a 4-0 demolition of 10-man Tranmere.
“Sometimes when you have your foot on the throat of the opposition, you don’t take it off and we didn’t this afternoon, we kept on searching for more,” said the O’s boss.
“We went up into our top gear in the second period and were much more like ourselves as I was a bit disappointed with the first half showing. The pleasing thing was that we continued to create chances all afternoon and could have had a couple more.
“Of course being top brings a certain of pressure but we like that and there’s plenty of belief in the group. What’s nice about us is that we aren’t arrogant either but keeping playing the way we always do.”
