IMAGINE it… it’s the stuff of pub musings all over the land. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to see the great players of the past… just one more time? The players that dads and granddads tell their kids about – but they’re just names from cuttings or flickering images on old videos. Not any more! Fans nationwide but ESPECIALLY those of Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and West Ham please read on. GLENN HODDLE is organising a footballing treat for the ages. And Orient are playing hosts to this incredible event .
Possibly the greatest ever collection of football legends will take to the pitch at Brisbane Road, May 18, for the Football30 Elite Legends Tournament. It’s an incredible A-list of superstars… literally from A to Z, from Ardiles to Zola!
They’ll be rolling back the years and lacing their boots in anger once again. Forget testimonials, forget charity kick about…. this is the real thing!  It’s the best players from the top clubs back playing competitive football; 11-a-side football on a full size pitch but squeezed into a 30-minute game – two 15-minute half’s so that the players can give it a real go – without worrying too much about the stamina of their salad days!
F30 is also vastly different to anything you’ve ever seen before; it’s fast and furious because it’s 15 minutes each way, enough time for the legends to show their skills and rekindle their past glories.
Glenn Hoddle, the last English manager of the national team to lead England in a World Cup finals, is F30’s Technical Director.   Glenn says: “I am delighted to be bringing together four great teams for this event which provides the opportunity for the game’s legends to play genuinely competitive matches.   F30 provides a whole new opportunity for the football supporter; to see their club’s greatest-ever players, in a great family friendly environment at an affordable price.  It was refreshing to see how many dads brought their kids along to Fulham’s Craven Cottage for our last big event – keen to see once again see their club’s best legends.”
The teams competing in May represent the glory days of Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham.
Paolo di Canio is captaining a star-studded HAMMERS HEROES squad alongside a star packed line-up that will include Martin Allen, Don Hutchinson , Rob Lee, Tony Gale and Iain Dowie.
Highbury’s glorious past will be rekindled by stars such as Ian Wright, Martin Keown, Paul Merson, Niall Quinn, Jens Lehmann, Alan Smith, Kenny Sansom, Nigel Winterburn, Perry Groves, Steve Walford, and John Jensen. They are the GUNNERS GREATEST side.
Ossie Ardiles is SUPER SPURS’ manager with Teddy Sheringham captaining the side that includes his great pal and fellow World Cup winner Ricky Villa, coming over from Argentina, with Danny Murphy, Gary Stevens, Darren Anderton, Paul Walsh, John Scales, Graham Roberts, Paul Miller, and Simon Davies.  You might even see Hoddle and Chris Waddle back together! Football you understand, not singing – promise!
