A young fan from Norway visited Brisbane Road recently just for his love of football. Henning Kvall-Tanguay from near Tromso in the north of the country was visiting London and travelling on the Central Line when he took the opportunity to stop off at Leyton.
“I love English football” said the 14 year-old, “and I took the opportunity of stopping off to visit Leyton Orient whilst in England a few weeks ago. Unfortunately there was no game that day but I contacted the club in the hope they would send me some memorabilia. I recently received a signed poster of the team that now hangs proudly beside my signed David De Gea poster! I am a big Manchester United fan and I have seen United at Old Trafford three times. But after I visited your stadium, I have followed Leyton Orient closely and I hope you get promoted next season. Orient is now my second team and my favourite team in London! I guess it is unlikely Leyton Orient will play against Man United, but it can happen!”
Henning, is one of hundreds of overseas visitors we receive each year. If you are an O’s fan abroad, keep your eyes on www.leytonorient.com over the summer for details of an overseas membership package that will be coming your way!
