LEYTON ORIENT can today (Friday) announce the appointment of two new members of staff following the recent takeover by Francesco Becchetti.
The former Italy defender Mauro Milanese has joined as sporting director and has been working closely with manager Russell Slade and acting as a bridge between the coaching staff and the new owner.
Milanese had an extensive playing career both in England with QPR and abroad with the likes of Inter Milan. Since retiring from playing he has gathered experience as a sporting director with Italian side Varese.
Joining him at Orient is new chief executive Alessandro Angelieri. Angelieri has experience as the head of commercial for an Italian broadcasting company and will be in control of the off-the-field running of the business and look after the administrative team.
Angelieri will sit on the board at Leyton Orient and there will be further board appointments to follow.
