NEW loan signing Jack Price can’t wait to get started with his new club after joining from Wolves on a 93-day emergency loan earlier this week.
The midfielder has already been on loan at Yeovil this season and is good condition to come in and play immediately if required.
“I’m really pleased to be here at Orient. I had a spell at Yeovil which went really well and hopefully I can emulate what I did whilst I was there and help the O’s get straight back up the table,” said Price.
“The club personally asked for me which is nice to hear and that is always a good thing. I saw the way Orient played last season and hopefully we can start putting some good performances together.
“I’m fully fit and raring for Saturday. It was good to get some games at Yeovil as I hadn’t played for a while at Wolves so it was good to get about and get up to match fitness again.”
Price made 30 appearances for Wolves last season – including two games against the O’s – and being part of a successful squad like that has shown him what it takes to do well in League 1.
“I think team bonding is important as the team spirit was really good at Wolves last year. Playing good football obviously helps but you also need to be able to grind out results. Some places are tough to go to on a Tuesday night but you have to stick together and grind out the results, and that helped us last season.”
Price is focussed on his future at Orient for now though with one eye on forcing himself back into Kenny Jackett’s plans at Wolves.
“I’d like to play as many games as I can and then look to try and get back into the Wolves first team if I perform well here. I really want to show people what I can do in terms of my own game which will also help my confidence.
“I’m a good passer so I am hoping I can bring that to the midfield. I’m also a workhorse so will put a good shift in for the fans and hopefully I can chip in with a few goals and assists.”
