FORM: Despite continuing to struggle at home Leyton Orient extended their unbeaten run on the road with a convincing 2-0 win at Dagenham & Redbridge in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Tuesday night. Kevin Nugent’s side are yet to taste defeat in any of their nine away trips this season and will be hoping to get some points on the table and work their way up League 1.
Sheffield United have endured a stop-start season so far and currently sit 11th in the league. The Blades lost 3-2 at Chesterfield last weekend but bounced back with a midweek win away to Hartlepool United in the cup.
TEAM NEWS: With his first goals of the season now under his belt Jay Simpson will be hoping to follow up on his brace against Dagenham & Redbridge with another lively performance this weekend.
Kevin Lisbie (shoulder), Gary Sawyer (knee) and Lloyd James (broken leg) remain Orient’s longer-term absentees. Adam Legzdins continues to make progress with a fractured finger. David Mooney has been struggling with an ankle problem whilst Mathieu Baudry is a doubt after limping off at Dagenham with a hamstring problem.
Wolves loanee Jack Price is available to play after being ineligible for the midweek trip to Dagenham.
Sheffield United duo Jose Baxter and Jamal Campbell-Ryce enjoyed successful returns from injury as they both scored in the Blades’ 2-1 win against Hartlepool and the pair could start at Bramall Lane. Michael Higdon serves the second match of his suspension after being sent-off at Chesterfield last weekend and Chris Porter could deputise in attack.
