FORM: Orient are still going in search of their first home win as they begin life with Mauro Milanese as manager. The O’s will be keen to bounce back from the 3-0 defeat at Port Vale on Saturday.
The visitors Preston North End are in red hot form having won their last six League 1 games including a dramatic 3-2 win over Fleetwood at the weekend thanks to a Joe Garner hat-trick after they came from 2-0 down.
TEAM NEWS: Injuries and suspensions continue to deplete the O’s squad as skipper Nathan Clarke becomes the latest to join the list of walking wounded. The O’s skipper suffered a concussion in training yesterday and was taken to hospital for precautionary scans and advised by doctors to rest and sit out tonight’s game.
Adam Legzdins (finger) and Gary Sawyer (knee) are getting nearer to a return, whilst Kevin Lisbie stepped up his training this week on his return from a shoulder injury. Lloyd James is still missing in the long term with a broken leg, whilst Darius Henderson is suspended following his red card on Saturday. Romain Vincelot underwent knee surgery yesterday so will miss out, Jack Price continues to receive treatment on an ankle injury, as does David Mooney. The O’s were boosted however by the return of Dean Cox from the bench on Saturday.
Gianvito Plasmati has received international clearance and is eligible to make his debut.
