PREVIEW: Orient v Coventry

access_time 7 years ago
FORM: After Tuesday’s defeat at home to Preston, Orient are now without a win in their previous eight home matches this season. Under new manager Mauro Milanese the O’s showed signs of encouragement during the defeat but will be looking to be more clinical in front of goal this weekend after squandering some decent openings on Tuesday.
Coventry City are currently 17th in League 1, a point ahead of the O’s. Steven Pressley’s side have only picked up two points on the road all season but come into the tie on the back of a 3-2 win against Peterborough last Saturday.
TEAM NEWS: Shane Lowry collected his fifth booking against Preston so will be suspended but captain Nathan Clarke could return to play after missing the Preston defeat due to concussion. Gianvito Plasmati could continue his partnership in attack with Jay Simpson after making his debut on Tuesday night. Gary Sawyer and Adam Legzdins could also be pushing for a return after stepping up training recently.
The Sky Blues could hand debuts to both striker Gary Madine and defender Aaron Martin after the pair arrived on loan on Thursday. They will be without Jordan Clarke however after the defender agreed a deal to join League 1 rivals Yeovil Town on loan until January 3.
