ORIENT manager Fabio Liverani has demanded more from his side as they slipped further into the relegation zone with defeat at Colchester.
The 2-0 defeat leaves Orient three points adrift of safety and Liverani wants people to be clear on how serious the situation is.
“The game showed that our ambitions need to be to fight until May and avoid relegation. Last season is in the past and is forgotten. This season is a battle,” he said.
“We knew that Colchester would come at us in first 20 minutes but we didn’t deal with it well. They showed more desire than us and I let the players know that. We have to play with spirit if we are to progress with our season.
“We have a squad that is good enough to avoid relegation but the injuries are frustrating.”
