LIVERANI: We must improve at home

Orient boss Fabio Liverani is keen for his side to build on Saturday’s victory at Chesterfield with another three points when they host FA Cup kings Bradford City.

Dean Cox’s 101st minute goal saw the O’s win for the first time in 2015, and Liverani hopes the confidence gained from that win can stand them in good stead against a side just outside the League One play-off places.

“I am very proud and pleased with the performance, as much as I was against Notts County last Tuesday, but unfortunately that result wasn’t right that time,” said Liverani.

“At Chesterfield the result was good and psychologically the result is very good because so far every 50/50 situation always went against us in the past. It was difficult for the players to accept this, but finally it was on our side.

“The last minute goal was the icing on the cake on Saturday and hopefully it gives the players confidence going forward.”

Tomorrow night the O’s will be hoping to secure just their third home win of the season, and Liverani knows between now and the end of the campaign an improvement at home is essential.

“I am aware of the home record and because of that I really hope to see a packed stadium to support us even more than the fans already do,” he added.

“Hopefully with the help of the supporters we can start picking up home wins. We need the fans more than ever to help us achieve results.”

The O’s have no new injury concerns going into the game, and Marvin Bartley made his first appearance on Saturday since the 2-0 JPT home win against Northampton Town back in November.

Bradford City come into the game on the back of a 2-0 FA Cup win over Premier League side Sunderland, which set up another home tie with Championship outfit Reading in the quarter-finals.
