Orient boss Fabio Liverani is full of confidence going into tonight’s match with league leaders Bristol City.
The O’s have picked up nine points of a possible 12 heading into the encounter, and after he described Saturday’s victory at Walsall as one of the best since taking over as manager, Liverani is keen to extend their good run of results.
“The table suggests it will be tough for us, but with the performance at Walsall we will have confidence,” said Liverani. “We have had two days to recover and prepare for tonight’s match.
“Other results recently have shown in this league anyone can beat anyone. We respect every team in the division, but we do not fear anyone.
“The most important issue when I first joined the club was to get the players confidence back, and that is now the case. We have a lot of quality in the side and I am very pleased with my players.”
Orient will still be without striker Darius Henderson and Lloyd James as they continue their recovery from injuries, while goalkeeper Adam Legzdins is their only long-term absentee after dislocating his shoulder in the 4-1 home win over Crawley Town on Boxing Day.
Scott Cuthbert returned to the squad from injury in Saturday’s 2-0 victory at Walsall, and was a late substitute for Shane Lowry.
Jay Simpson also featured off the bench for the O’s at the weekend and should again take his place in the matchday squad.
