Ryan Hedges was delighted to net his first professional goal last weekend in the 2-0 win at Walsall, and hopes to build on his impressive loan spell with another three points at Peterborough United tomorrow.
The 19-year-old also provided the assist for Chris Dagnall to set up the second, and while disappointed they couldn’t build on it in the 3-1 home loss to Bristol City on Tuesday, the youngster admits the squad have added confidence going into tomorrow’s game at the ABAX Stadium.
“Confidence is high as a team and we are playing well and thriving on it,” Hedges told Orient Player.
“They look like a good team. They have picked up a couple of good results, but it’s going to be difficult and it is a hard place to go.
“After that we have got a good run of game so hopefully we can pick something up and build on it.”
Reflecting on his goal at Walsall, he added: “Every time I see the goal it brings a smile to my face and hopefully there is many more to come.
Hedges is enjoying his loan spell with the O’s and is delighted with the reception he’s received from the Orient fans since making the temporary switch from Premier League side Swansea City.
“I am gaining confidence as I go along and I can see us pushing out of this relegation battle and moving forward.
“When I am going down to warm up it’s nice to hear the support of the fans. I am really enjoying it. Scoring your first goal and hearing the fans chant your name is an unforgettable feeling.”
