Leyton Orient will hope to build on Saturday’s 3-0 win over Yeovil Town when they host an in-form Barnsley side tonight.
The O’s picked up a vital success over the Glovers at the weekend, with Chris Dagnall, Ryan Hedges and Jobi McAnuff all on target as they bounced back from successive defeats.
But the Tykes are one of the form sides in the division after winning their last six games, with new manager Lee Johnson, who joined from fellow League One side Oldham Athletic, in charge for the final four.
That included Saturday’s 3-1 win at his former Boundary Park home, with Lewin Nyatanga netting twice and Conor Hourihane the other.
In the reverse fixture the Tykes emerged 2-0 victors with Hourihane and Devante Cole on target for the Oakwell side.
Romain Vincelot and Adam Legzdins remain long-term absentees for the O’s with knee and shoulder injuries respectively, while midfielder Lloyd James is back in training.
Defenders Shane Lowry and Mathieu Baudry remain doubtful, with the latter coming off late on in Saturday’s win over Yeovil.
Barnsley could include former Orient striker Jabo Ibehre in their side tonight, after the 32-year-old joined on loan from Colchester United at the beginning of March, having already spent a loan spell with Oldham Athletic earlier in the season.
A big welcome to this evening’s Match Sponsors, Leyton Orient Trust, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary of work in the community. Thank you also to the Matchball Sponsor F Barnes Solicitors.
