Leyton Orient under-15 Academy goalkeeper Arthur Janata will follow in the footsteps of Charlie Grainger and Sam Roach after being called up to an England goalkeeping camp.
The two-day camp for Janata will take place at England’s St George’s Park base from April 29, while fellow O’s youngster Roach has also been asked to attend a different two-day camp which commences on April 27.
Academy Director Andy Edwards said: “It’s a fantastic honour for Arthur to get the call-up and it shows all the hard work he has put in as well to progress his game. Credit must also go to the coaches who have been working closely with Arthur to help his development.”
“Sam will also attend a different camp and he will build on his earlier call-up with England. We hope they both enjoy the experience.”
The duo highlight the good work of the Academy, which has also resulted in several youth international call-ups for players including Mukhtar Ali (now at Chelsea), Kaziah Sterling (Spurs), Kaylen Hinds (Arsenal) Jay Beckford (Arsenal), Charlie Grainger and Moses Odubajo (Brentford).
