Orient boss Fabio Liverani knows his side have to improve defensively when they face Crewe Alexandra tomorrow.
The O’s conceded three goals against Gillingham, but managed to pick up a point on Easter Monday thanks to Josh Wright’s late strike.
And while pleased with the result in the end, Liverani knows they have to sharpen up at the back in their bid for League One survival.
“I was very pleased with final result and the players showed a never-say-die attitude,” Liverani told leytonorient.com.
“We made way too mistakes defensively, and we have mainly worked on that this week in training to try and not repeat those mistakes we made against Gillingham.”
Crewe go into the game with two wins in their last 11 games, defeating Scunthorpe United 2-0 and Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane.
And though wary of tomorrow’s opponents, the O’s boss insists they do not fear Steve Davis’ side.
“Saturday is obviously an extremely important game, a six-pointer from where we have to come back with a positive result,” he added.
“Crewe are doing very well lately, they play a good football and they picked up points against strong clubs lately hence we will give them maximum respect, but we do not fear them.”
Defender Gary Sawyer is ruled out through injury, but Liverani has no other new injury concerns going into the game.
