NEWS: O's unseeded for Capital One Cup first round draw

It has been revealed the O’s will be in the unseeded section of the draw for the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The draw, which will be made at 10am next Tuesday, June 16, could see Orient come up against relegated Premier League side Queens Park Rangers, with the first round unseeded and seeded teams split into two regional groups.

The O’s have special memories from the competition last season, having defeated Plymouth Argyle on penalties in the first round, before going on to beat Premier League outfit Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park.

Seeded sides: Barnsley, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bolton Wanderers, Bradford City, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Bristol City, Burnley, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Chesterfield, Derby County, Fleetwood Town, Fulham, Gillingham, Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Millwall, MK Dons, Nottingham Forest, Peterborough United, Preston North End, Queens Park Rangers, Reading, Rochdale, Rotherham United, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Swindon Town, Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
