Head Coach Ian Hendon’s first cup game in charge of the O’s  will see him take his side to newly-promoted Championship side MK Dons in the first round of the Capital One Cup after the draw was revealed today.

Orient have come accustomed to playing the Dons in the regular league season, but Karl Robinson’s side won promotion last term from League One.

However, the two sides will now lock horns in the Capital One Cup first round, with the O’s keen to avenge a 6-1 League One loss suffered on April 18.

The O’s had a good run in the competition last season, reaching the third round after a penalty shoot-out success against Plymouth Argyle and a famous win at Premier League side Aston Villa, before bowing out to Sheffield United.

The first round tie will be played week beginning August 10.
