Leyton Orient will come up against Championship side Huddersfield Town during a pre-season training camp in Spain.

After the O’s pre-season opener with Braintree Town on July 10, they will head to the Alhaurin resort in Malaga between July 14 and July 20, before returning to face Colchester United on July 25.

The match against Chris Powell’s side is scheduled for July 18 with an 11am kick-off at Huddersfield’s La Cala hotel base, and will be free of charge for people in the area. Another fixture in Spain is due to take place on a date and time to be arranged.

Speaking on the training camp, O’s head coach Ian Hendon told “Playing against Huddersfield will be a good test for us  at the end of a long, hard training camp. We will have another match while we are over there but we are just waiting for final confirmation.

“The camp will also be great for the new players and staff as they try and settle in. It gets everyone together and the camaderie and that can play an important over the course of the season.”
