From November 2014 Leyton Orient donated over 1,000 complimentary tickets for every home game which were distributed to Primary and Secondary schools, local faith groups and colleges in the area.

Given the success of the initiative it is now planned to be rolled out over the next season, predominantly aimed at Primary Schools, with over 20,000 tickets to be given away, mainly as part of the Leyton Orient Partnership of Associated Schools Scheme (LOPASS).

Rob Noble, Marketing and Partnerships Manager at Leyton Orient Football Club said, “There were positive impacts felt throughout the club from the tickets in the community scheme last season. We saw increased attendances adding to the atmosphere, a rise in matchday income, as well a number of new fans being exposed to live professional football, many of whom were children and had never witnessed a match up close before.”

“We are therefore pleased to be able to continue to work with the Leyton Orient Trust and their schools programme to offer this fantastic opportunity for thousands of people from the local area to watch Leyton Orient for free.”

The 20,000 free tickets will largely only be available through LOPASS which offers local schools the opportunity to have closer ties with Leyton Orient with some great opportunities for pupils and staff to take advantage of.

The benefits to the school include the chance to raise money for equipment, kit, facilities or other fundraising opportunities, discounted ground tours for pupils, get pupils involved on a matchday plus much more.
