Leyton Orient bring their pre-season schedule to a close this weekend with trips to Bishop’s Stortford and Southend United.
The full Leyton Orient squad will be travelling to both fixtures, while O’s Head Coach Ian Hendon will take a final look at trialists Zaine Francis-Angol, Jack Parkinson and Yann Songo’o.

Exit the M11 at J8. Take the A1250 towards the town centre (not the Services exit), and turn left at the first roundabout. The ground is signposted and is the first turning on the right, opposite the golf club.
The closest station to the ground is Bishop’s Stortford rail station, about a 25-minute walk away. It is served by trains from London Liverpool Street. The ground is about a 25 minute walk from the town centre and railway station. There is a taxi rank at the station.
SOUTHEND UNITED – SUNDAY 2 AUGUST, 1pm kick-off
The following day Orient will conclude their pre-season schedule by making the short trip to Phil Brown’s Southend.
The Shrimpers will also be playing their final friendly ahead of the start of the season on August 8. Southend have tasted defeat three times against Braintree Town (0-1), West Ham United (2-3), Dagenham & Redbridge (2-1), but have claimed wins over Great Wakering Rovers (1-0), Canvey Island (4-0) and Charlton Athletic (2-1).

From M25 take Junction 29 and follow the A127 to Southend. Continue towards the town centre, through the lights near to the Bell Pub. At the next roundabout turn right (3rd turning), continuing on the A127. The ground is on the right just past the next traffic lights.
If you happen to end up at Southend Central station (served by trains from London Fenchurch Street), you’re about a 25 minute walk from the ground. The main bus station is close to Southend Central, and therefore it may be ideal to get a bus up to the ground, rather than walking.
The closest station to the ground is Prittlewell, about a five minute walk away. It is served by trains from London Liverpool Street. As you exit the station turn right, you will then come to a crossroads with traffic lights. On your right is the ‘Fish House’, fish and chip shop. Pass this and turn right. Walk about 100 yards and the ground is tucked away on your left.
The Arriva bus numbers 7, 8, 9, and 29 buses all stop right outside Roots Hall Football Ground whilst the First Bus numbers 20, 21 and 25 also arrive at the stadium.
