O’s skipper Mathieu Baudry is after more of the same from his side as they prepare for the east London derby at Dagenham & Redbridge tomorrow.
Orient head into the game on the back of a 2-1 Capital One Cup loss at MK Dons, but despite the result, Baudry believes a repeat of that performance will be enough to help the O’s to victory.
“We know the priority is the league but again it was big boost for us on Tuesday because we played really well and the spirit was great again,” Baudry told leytonorient.com
“For 89 minutes we controlled the game but that’s football and despite the defeat the performance was very encouraging.
“We just have to try and carry on what we have been doing and put the same work, discipline and quality into this game as we have done for the past two. We have a lot of quality in the team and hopefully we can show that at the weekend.”
For Baudry it will mark a return to a Club where he enjoyed a three-month loan spell from AFC Bournemouth in March 2012, helping them to remain in the Football League during that time.
“It will be a special day on Saturday,” he added. “We haven’t played them for a little while in the league and it’s going to be nice.
“I was only there for a short time but it was a great experience because we escaped relegation. There isn’t too many people still there from my time at the club, but hopefully we can come away with the three points at the weekend.”
