Leyton Orient under-18s picked up their second successive 4-0 victory when they saw off the challenge of Peterborough United on Saturday.
The O’s went into the game full of confidence having dispatched local rivals Dagenham & Redbridge the previous week by the same scoreline, and carried on where they left off by racing into a 4-0 lead at the break thanks to goals from Christian Owusu, Sam Alderson, Myles Judd and Victor Adeboyejo.
Though they could not add to their tally in the second half, it continues a solid start for the O’s youngsters.
They got off to a fine start as Owusu kept up his fine form with the opener at the weekend as he produced a superb turn and finish, low past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner for his seventh of the campaign in just six games.
That was to be the end of Owusu’s contribution though as he was forced off through injury in the opening period, and was replaced by Josh Koroma.
But the O’s continued to dominate and Alderson doubled their advantage before Judd, who had made his O’s first team debut in the week at Luton Town, produced a delicate chip over the Peterborough keeper to make it three, and take his individual tally to three for the campaign.
Orient were out of sight at the break as they added a fourth through Adeboyejo – his second of the season.
The second half was a much more even game between the two sides, but the O’s had already done the hard work as they went on to secure all three points.
This weekend sees the Orient under-18s make the trip to face Luton Town.
