The O’s made the trip to Cambridge United yesterday and were roared on by 1,739 fans who made the journey to the Abbey Stadium.

They saw Orient come back from 1-0 down to pick up a point thanks to Jay Simpson’s strike and Head Coach Ian Hendon has these words to praise the strong O’s following: “The support we had at Cambridge yesterday was fantastic.

“To have over 1,700 fans make the journey was great and even when we went behind they stuck by us and they really made the difference once again and I would like to thank you all.

“The support over the course of the season, both home and away, has been overwhelming and every single one of the staff and players really appreciate it. With your backing, we hope we can build on our solid start to the season.”
