Orient Head Coach Ian Hendon hopes it is only a matter of time that their solid performances turn into victories – starting tonight against Carlisle United.
The O’s are yet to win in September, but Hendon has been buoyed by their recent performances, including Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Northampton Town.
“I’ve not been disappointed with the performances at all,” he told leytonorient.com.
“If we maintain the level of performances then I am sure we will win more games than we will lose over the course of the season. On Saturday we had more than 30 crosses into the box and yet again their goalkeeper has had a blinder. We couldn’t do anymore than we did on Saturday.”
Carlisle come into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Newport County, but pushed Premier League side Liverpool all the way last Wednesday in the League Cup, before losing out on penalties.
“It will be another tough one against Carlisle as while they concede a few goals they also score plenty as well, but we have done our preparation on them and hopefully that will help us put on another positive performance,” he added.
“They proved what they are capable of when pushing Liverpool all the way last Wednesday, and we have to be wary of them.”
